Who We Are

Commander AI ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Sierra Story Co. LLC. Our website is mtgcommander.ai. We provide an AI-powered Commander deck building tool for Magic: The Gathering players.

What Data We Collect

  • Account information: Email address and authentication credentials when you create an account (via email/password, Google, Discord, or Twitch OAuth).
  • Deck data: Card lists, commander choices, and deck names you create or import. Decks are public — see Decks Are Public below.
  • Conversation history: Messages you send to the AI assistant and the AI's responses.
  • Memories & preferences: Notes you ask the assistant to remember (e.g. deck-building preferences), stored to your account and used only to personalize your recommendations. You can view, edit, or delete them anytime from your account.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and conversation analytics for service improvement.

Decks Are Public

Every deck you save has a share link that anyone can open without signing in, and appears in community browse. This is how Moxfield and Archidekt work: a deck list isn't sensitive, and sharing one shouldn't need a setting. There is no private mode.

Deck pages are also submitted to search engines through our sitemap, so they can appear in search results rather than only being reachable by link.

Deck names are free text that you write, so treat them as public: don't put personal information in a deck name. The card list, commander, and deck name are what a visitor sees. Your email address and account details are not shown on a deck page.

To take a deck out of public view, rename it or delete it from its deck page. Deleting removes it from browse and breaks its share link; search engines may take some time to drop a page they have already indexed.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and improve the deck building service
  • Send your deck data and questions to Anthropic's Claude AI for analysis and recommendations
  • Show marketplace pricing from Mana Pool
  • Track costs and usage for service operations

Third-Party Services

We share data with these services to operate:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database hosting
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI analysis of your deck data and questions
  • Mana Pool — Card pricing and availability data
  • Railway — Application hosting
  • Cloudflare — CDN and DNS

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Affiliate Disclosure

We participate in the Mana Pool affiliate program. When you purchase cards through links on our site, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products and tools we believe are genuinely useful for deck building.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication (maintaining your login session). We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Access your data (view your decks, conversations, and account info)
  • Delete your account and all associated data (contact us)
  • Export your deck data
  • Manage or cancel a Patreon pledge at patreon.com/mtgcommanderai

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for service improvement.
